Pulse Neuron is designed to make portfolio management calm and structured — support should feel the same. Use this page to route your request and include the details that help resolve it quickly.
We will never ask you to send portfolio files, brokerage logins, or personal financial credentials. If diagnostics are required, we will request only what is necessary to resolve the issue.

Pulse Neuron is a portfolio and household finance desktop app for Windows, available on the Microsoft Store. It is organised into four plain sections — Today, Invest, Household and Manage — so anything you need is a click or two away. You do not need to own shares to get value from it: the household side works on its own, and it is free on every plan. Your data stays on your device — no cloud account, no advertising tracking. The only thing the app sends out is the ticker symbols you track plus an anonymous install identifier, used to fetch market prices.
The entire family-finance side is free, on every plan: the Family Dashboard and Money Story, the pay-down-or-invest break-even comparison for any debt, the rate ladder showing every account, card and debt on one axis, the transactions ledger with bank-statement import (CSV, OFX or QIF), automatic categorisation, the Review Queue, Money Flow for every period, Spending Insights, Budgets, bills, debts, subscriptions, assets, and the net-worth timeline — with unlimited family members. Household finance is computed on your device and costs nothing to serve. Pro is the investing side, where market data and the engines live: performance and risk analytics, the Lab, live Vital Signs, planning tools, and accountant-ready reports. On the investing side, Free tracks 15 instruments with 5 refreshing live per update and opens the first two members' dashboards; Pro tracks up to 100 and opens every member's. Visit the Pricing page for the full breakdown.
All billing is managed through the Microsoft Store. You can purchase a Pro subscription (monthly or annual) directly from the Store, and manage renewals, cancellations, refunds, payment methods, and receipts through your Microsoft account. Pulse Neuron does not process or store any payment information.
Everything lives in a local SQLite database on your own device. Your 4–6 digit PIN gates access to the app; it does not encrypt the database file — that file is an ordinary file on your PC, and protecting it at rest is Windows' job, through device encryption or BitLocker. The app also writes automatic backups to Documents\PulseNeuron Backups — a folder that survives uninstalling the app — and you can create an export bundle any time for safekeeping. There is no cloud sync and no account; the only thing the app sends out is the ticker symbols you track plus an anonymous install identifier, used to fetch market prices.
From Settings, create an export bundle and copy it to the new machine (USB drive, network share — your choice). Install Pulse Neuron from the Microsoft Store, then import the bundle to restore everything. Copying your automatic backups folder (Documents\PulseNeuron Backups) across works as a fallback too.
Press Ctrl+K anywhere to open the command palette — start typing to jump to any screen or action. A keyboard-shortcuts window inside the app lists every shortcut; the quickest way to find it is the command palette itself.
Choose your tax jurisdiction in the app — Australia, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, or a generic European profile — and the Tax Centre estimates CGT and income tax under those rules. The figures are estimates for planning only, never tax advice; confirm actual outcomes with a qualified professional.
Yes — and a third option that follows Windows. Pulse Neuron has full light and dark themes, title bar included, plus Match Windows, which tracks your system setting as it changes. Choose in Settings, or press Ctrl+Shift+L to switch straight between light and dark; your choice is remembered between sessions.
Pulse Neuron supports 25+ global equity markets. US markets provide real-time pricing, while international markets use end-of-day (EOD) data. Foreign-exchange (FX) rates and cryptocurrency pricing are also included. ASX data is not currently available.
The app supports 46 currencies — the majors plus Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, non-Eurozone Europe, the Americas and Africa, including INR, CNY, NOK, DKK, AED, BRL, MXN and PLN. The Markets page lists every one. You can set your base currency and the app will handle multi-currency conversions automatically using real market FX rates fetched with your price refreshes — between refreshes it uses the most recent cached rate, never an invented one.
Family Finance is a dedicated suite for managing your whole household — and all of it is free, on every plan, with unlimited family members. Import a bank statement (CSV, OFX or QIF) and it auto-categorises and links every line, then powers Money Flow, Spending Insights, Budgets, a bill calendar, debt and subscription tracking, an asset register, and a net-worth timeline — all tied into your broader portfolio picture.
Look Ahead (Pro) gathers six planning tools on one page: Investment Goals and Savings Goals for defining and monitoring milestones (retirement, education, property); Goal Probability, which runs a 10,000-path Monte Carlo simulation; the Portfolio Forecast; the What-If Simulator — change your contributions, return assumption, time horizon, fees, inflation, or a one-off withdrawal, and compare the result against your current trajectory; and the Stress Test, which applies historical and custom drawdowns to what you actually hold.
Pulse Neuron offers comprehensive reporting with PDF and Excel export. You can generate portfolio summaries, performance attribution reports, holdings breakdowns, dividend income reports, tax-lot details, and family finance summaries. Reports pull live data from across the platform and can be customised before export.
Bank-statement import is free on every plan: drop in a CSV, OFX or QIF file and it is automatically categorised, linked to the right bills and income, and checked for duplicates, with a preview step before anything is committed and per-account import history with one-click undo. Pro adds CSV trade import for holdings and transactions (currently in beta), with column mapping and data validation.
Morning Pulse is your daily portfolio health snapshot. Each time you open the app, it presents a concise overview of overnight market moves, portfolio value changes, upcoming dividends, and smart insights — such as concentration warnings or rebalancing suggestions — so you start the day informed.
